- Newspaper Obituary - Monday, November 3, 1980 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Grace Elizabeth Gerdon, 78 - Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Gerdon. 78, formerly of Sandy Creek, died Friday, October 3, at the Magic Valley Memorial Hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho, after a short illness. A committal service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richland Cemetery with Rev. Virgil Hager, pastor of the Sandy Creek Baptist Church, officiating. She is survived by seven sons, Quentin, McFarland, California; Wenton, Hemet, California, Charles. Richland, New York, Warren. Melbourn, Florida, Lester, Brey, California, Grover, Bellevue, Washington, and James, Twin Falls; four daughters, Mrs. Juanita Nicholson, Filer. Idaho, Mrs. Anita Whaley, Twin Falls, Mrs. Shirley Barnard, Brey, and Mrs. Isabel Bidleman, Sedro-Wooley, Washington; 36 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Lewis Tilkins, Porterville, California, and Lawrence Tilkins. Auburn. Born in the Town of Sandy Creek on June 15. 1902. she married Tracy A. Gerdon in 1920. They lived in upstate New York for many years Mr. Gerdon died in 1946. Mrs. Gerdon moved to Brea, California in 1956 and operated a restaurant in Atwood, California. She had recently moved to Twin Falls and lived in her own trailer.
