Gary F. McNitt, age 59, life resident of Pulaski, passed away Wednesday at his home. Gary was born June 20, 1951, in Syracuse, the son of Elmer and Belva Twitchell McNitt. He attended Pulaski Schools. Gary married Sandy Gilbert on April 24, 1971. He was employed by Fulton Companies for many years, retiring in 2002 due to his health. Gary owned and operated a dairy farm for many years and he was also employed by the Town of Richland Highway Department. He was a member of the Pulaski Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department since 1999.
Surviving: wife, Sandy; two sons, Jesse McNitt and his fiancée, Stacie Ferguson of Pulaski, and Jeffery McNitt of Pulaski; one brother, Elwin McNitt of Syracuse; several stepbrothers and sisters, and six grandchildren. Gary was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel and LeRoy.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home. 52 Park Street, with burial in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
