      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 11, 1956 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Body of Soldier Arriving Friday - Sandy Creek - The body of Pfc. Austin Frederic Caufield, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Caufield, RD 2, Lacona, who died September 26 in an evacuation hospital of the United States Army in Korea, will arrive Friday at the Weston & Woodard funeral home here. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Military honors will be paid the young soldier by members of Cable Trail Post, Veterans of the Foreign Wars, Lacona, at his graveside in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski, Saturday afternoon, following services at the Weston & Woodard funeral home at 2 p.m. Taps will be sounded by Harwood Course, post bugler, and a firing squad composed of post members will fire a volley over the grave. The Rev. Leland W. Webster of the First Methodist Church of Sandy Creek will conduct the rites. Young Caufield was stricken ill a month ago while serving with the Army's 44th Surgical Hospital, but no word has been received by his family as to the cause of death.
