Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 23, 1971 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Man, Burned Out, Found Dead at 42 - Sandy Creek - Harold Robert Caufield, 42, a Pulaski native, was found dead Wednesday in his room at the Emmons Motel on Route 11, Brewerton, where he had been residing since being burned out of his residence at the Old Fort Brewerton Hotel which was destroyed by fire Tuesday. Mr. Caufield's death was ruled due to a heart attack. The funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the O'Brien Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. A 22-year resident of Brewerton, he was employed the last 20 years at Green's Garage, Brewerton.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 30, 1971 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Harold Robert Caufield, 42, died Wednesday, December 22 at the Emmons Motel, Route 11, Brewerton A native of Pulaski, he lived in Brewerton 22 years. He was employed by Greene's Garage, Brewerton, for 20 years. He was a member of the Brewerton Fire Department, the Brewerton Bowling League. Surviving are a son, William Robert Caufield; a daughter, Miss Robin Caufield, both of Canoga Park, California; his mother, Mrs. Beulah Smith Caufield; three brothers, James of Syracuse and Arnold and Fred Caufield; eight sisters, Mrs. Lewis Wilder of Pulaski, Mrs. Ernest Dana of Sandy Creek, Mrs. Terrica Surprise of Syracuse, Mrs. Benjamin Eggleston of Caughdenoy, Mrs. Gilbert Bridgeway, Miss Vera Kay Caufield and Mrs. Cornelius Donahue, all of Lacona, Mrs. Richard Ford of Red Creek. Services were at 1 p.m. Friday, December 24 at the O'Brien Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski.
