Newspaper Obituary - Friday, February 26, 1993 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - John Weber Funeral Mass Planned Monday - A funeral Mass for John Weber, 83, of 720 Huntington St., retired New York Air Brake Corp. core maker, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, with the Rev. John M. Demo, associate pastor of Holy Family Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Mr. Weber died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday at the Samaritan-Keep Home, where he had been a resident since January 11. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of the Samaritan-Keep Home. Surviving are his wife, Erma T.; two sons, John D. Blacke, Watertown, and Joseph E. Weber, Rapid City, South Dakota; three daughters, Mrs. Alton (Anita) Morris and Mrs. Frank (Doris) Parsons, both of Watertown, and Mrs. Robert (Theresa) Clement, Burrville; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Sam, Mexico, George, Pulaski, and Irwin, Syracuse; a sister, Mrs. Walter (Josephine) Miller, Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Martin, died before him. Born in Watertown, May 17, 1909, a son of Michael and Katherine Miller Weber, he attended Watertown schools and served with the New York State Army National Guard during World War II. He married Erma T. Fox of Pulaski October 19, 1935, in St. John's Catholic Church, Pulaski. Mr. Weber was a core maker at New York Air Brake Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Holy Family Church.
