Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 18, 1891 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - One of the most esteemed of the older citizens of Pulaski, Mr. Daniel Brownson Meacham, has passed away. He was born in Benson, Rutland county, Vermont, August 27, 1812. At the age of fifteen, with his brother, Milo, he came to Sandy Creek, in which town he lived twenty-two years. The past forty-two years, his home had been in Pulaski. During thirty six years he was an active business man in different departments of traffic. He was honored by his fellow citizens with positions of public trust. For twenty years he held the office of town clerk. In 1837, Mr. Meacham was married to Miss Eunice S. Forbes. Five children blest this union, of whom four are living, two sons and two daughters. He survived his golden wedding four years. His attachments were strong. He was lovable and beloved, social and genial. He will be missed by a numerous circle of friends. The deceased united with the Congregational church more than fifty years ago, and has ever maintained a consistent Christian character. His life was marked by sincerity, consciousness and freedom from guile. "The memory of the just is blessed."
