Betty J. Blodgett, 70, of 1627 County Route 2, died Friday at Seneca Hill Manor, where she had resided since March 26, 2004.
Mrs. Blodgett was a homemaker.
Born June 16, 1935, in the town of Richland, daughter of Earl and Ida White Cone, she attended school at Pulaski Academy and Central School.
She married Duane R. Blodgett on April 17, 1952, in Pulaski. The couple resided in Orwell their entire married life. Mr. Blodgett died March 13, 2000.
She attended Vorea Community and Boylston Wesleyan churches.
Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Judith A. and William Campbell, Austin, Texas; four sons and their wives, Richard D. and Judy, Oswego, James H. and Shelly, Tampa, Fla., and Sandy Creek, Timothy H. and Margaret, Orwell, and William W. and Darlene, Pulaski; three sisters and their husbands, Shirley and John Almeida, Mattydale, Beverly and Mike Flaherty, Williamstown, and Sandra and Don Clemons, Maple View, 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Earl and John Cone, died before her.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sandy Creek Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Brian Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
Donations may be made to Orwell Fire Department or the National Kidney Foundation.
