- Vernon W. Spencer - Services for Vernon W. Spencer, 53, of Town of Volney RD 2, who died Wednesday Wednesday at Lee Memorial Hospital were Saturday at Foster Funeral Home. Burial was in North Volney Cemetery. Born in Pulaski, Mr. Spencer lived in Volney for the past 25 years. He was an inspector for the Armstrong Cork Co. and a member of the Volney Volunteer Fire Corp. Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley Hall; a daughter, Connie Blanchard; three grandsons; five sisters, Mrs George (Blanche) Waters of Durhamville, Mrs. Irene Darling of Syracuse, Mrs Emil (Emma) Hilton of Central Square, Mrs. Anna Murphy of Parish and Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Rogers of Jordan, and three brothers, Fenton of Florida, Stanley of Richland and T. Richard of Sandy Pond.
