Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, September 25, 1934 Utica Daily Press - Utica, New York - Fish Creek Man Dies of Crash Hurts - Frank Dennee, 53, Struck by Oncoming Car While Pushing His Stalled Machine, Dies in Oneida Hospital - Accident Occurs Near Sylvan Beach - Oneida - Frank Dennee, 53, Fish Creek, died Monday afternoon in the Broad Street Hospital as a result of injuries suffered in an accident late Sunday night at the intersection of the Sylvan Beach - Jewell Highway. Dennee, according to a report of Corp. Joseph Stanley and Trooper Nelson Gydeasen, Troop D Sub-station, Sylvan Beach, had stalled his machine, and, leaving his daughter at the wheel, he and his wife started to push the machine. Dennee, troopers were told, while pushing, stood in front of the tail light, making it impossible for William A. Wilson, Jewell, who was going in the same direction, to see the car ahead. Wilson's car crashed into the rear of the Dennee machine, striking Mr. Dennee. He suffered a deep laceration on the left leg and shock. His death resulted from loss of blood. Wilson was absolved of any blame, Corporal Steeley stated Monday morning. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, October 3, 1934 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - William Francis Dennee was born in Pineville 53 years ago, the youngest son of William and Janet Dennee. Mr. Dennee was an honest, hard-working man. He learned the blacksmith's trade which occupation he followed in his earlier years. He was also a farmer. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nellie Dennee; five daughters, Mrs. Fordie Plantz of Lacona, Mrs. H. N. Johnson of Williamstown, Mrs. L. E. Waters of Sylvan Beach, Mrs. G. H. Stone of Lacona, Miss Eva Dennee at home; three sons, William Dennee, Jr., Pulaski, Lewis, Rensselaer Falls, and Francis of Syracuse; one sister, Mrs. Martha Jareo of Watertown and a brother, Curtiss Dennee of Altmar, also several grandchildren.
