Harrison J. Dana, 78, Route 3, died Friday at Genesis HealthCare, Watertown.
Mr. Dana was employed by the Oswego County Highway Department, Pulaski, for 26 years, retiring in 1984. He also owned and operated a dairy farm for many years.
Before entering the nursing home, he had lived in Sandy Creek all his life.
Born Jan. 8, 1922, in the town of the Sandy Creek, son of William and Frances Collins Dana, he attended Sandy Creek schools.
He married Mildred Roberts on April 25, 1942, at Sandy Creek.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons, Robert E., Lincoln, R.I., Richard H., Altmar, and Gerald A., Pulaski; two daughters, Janet E. England, Mannsville, and Janelle D. Bettinger, Sandy Creek; two brothers, James and Ernest "Toby," both of Sandy Creek; a sister, Charlotte Oakes, Syracuse, 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A son, Gordon W., died Feb. 5, 1994.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
