Doris Genevieve Webb, 91, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of Pulaski, died Monday at the Sunset House, Mishawaka, after a short illness.
Mrs. Webb taught in one-room schools in Daysville and Fernwood before teaching fourth grade at Pulaski Academy and Central School and later at Richland Elementary School for a number of years.
Born Jan. 21, 1912, in Fernwood, daughter of Verner and Bertha Manwarren Halsey, she was a 1929 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School. She received her diploma from Syracuse City Normal School in 1932, and in 1964 she received a bachelor of science degree from Oswego State Teachers College.
She married Allen J. Webb on May 6, 1934, in Felts Mills. He died March 5, 1981.
Surviving are a son, Gary A., Mishawaka; a brother, Donald Halsey, Pulaski, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A son, Wayne W., died in 1972. A brother, Richard Halsey, and a sister, Lucille Ardner, also died before her.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
