Ellen E. Wild January 27, 2005
Ellen E. Wild, age 90, of 21 Pine St., Pulaski, died Thursday at St. Luke's Nursing Home, Oswego. She was born on January 12, 1915 in Boylston, the daughter of Arthur W. and Sarah Winsor Presley. She moved to Pulaski in 1955 and previously lived in Williamstown. She graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1933, graduated from Oswego Normal School in 1935; also received her Batchelor's Degree in 1965 from SUNY Oswego. She married Henry Wild in 1940; he died on March 21, 1990. She was employed by Altmar Elementary School and country schools for 42 years retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Pulaski Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski Historical Society, Halfshire Historical Society, Richland, and Williamstown Historical Society.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews and one cousin, Arthur Waggoner of Orwell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with Rev. Edward Crandall officiating. Spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
