Newspaper Obituary - Friday Evening, August 7, 1953 Daily Sentinel - Rome, New York - Fall is Fatal to Camden Woman, 72 - Mrs. Nellie Dennee, 72, Second Street, Camden, died in the United County Hospital, Utica, last night, four hours after suffering injuries in a fall in the cellarway of a friend's home in Yorkville. Dr. Arthur S. Coriale, coroner, said death was accidental and due to concussion and fractures of the skull and arm. Mrs. Dennee fell approximately eight steps in the cellarway at the home of Mrs. Melba Plantz, 15 Coventry Avenue, Yorkville, whom she was visiting. Mrs. Dennee was born in Orwell, November 17, 1880, the daughter of Watson and Jennie Cook Aldrich. On November 29, 1899, in Orwell, she was married to William F. Dennee who died in September, 1934. A resident of Camden for the past nine years, Mrs. Dennee had made her home for the past year at the Murdough Nursing Home. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Harold Johnson, Williamstown, Mrs. Leonard Walters, Great Bend, New York, Mrs. George Stone, Lacona, and Mrs. Ralph Darling, Camden; three sons, William, Camden; Lewis, Canton, and Frank Dennee, Syracuse; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Aldrich, Pennellville, and Merton Aldrich, Flint, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the B. A. Sanborn and Son Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. Charles Chamberlain officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
