Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 13, 1978 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - Mrs. Edith D. Coon, 75, Spring Brook Apartments, Pulaski, widow of Nelson Coon, died at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, September 10, at the House of the Good Samaritan. Watertown, where she had been admitted August 25. The funeral was Tuesday at the Taylor-Vida Funeral Home. 7643 Jefferson Street, with Rev. Dolen Morris, pastor, Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery. She is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Blanche Monty, Chazy, nieces and nephews. Born December 22, 1903, in West Chazy a daughter of William and Julia Gonyo Donovan, she marred Nelson Coon in 1946. He died in April 1973.
