- James R. Snyder October 19, 2011 James R. Snyder, 61, of Central Square, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, NY. He was born in Syracuse, son of the late Charles and Eleanor Proppe Snyder. He was an Army veteran, serving from 1969 to 1971. He was previously employed at Gardall Safe Corp. for 26 years. He was the owner and operator of Jim's Rod & Custom in Pulaski from 1996 to the present. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiles and classic cars. He was predeceased by one brother, Frederick, in 2010. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, the former Karen Gibson; one son, Richard (Tara) Snyder, Mexico; two daughters, Cherie (Everett Braley Jr.) Snyder of Pulaski, and Jessica (Jason) Iannuzzo of North Syracuse; two grandchildren, Kara Braley and Madison Snyder; and one sister, Cindy Kruk, Fulton. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday from Harter Funeral Home, 9 Washington Ave., Mexico, NY.
