Retired Air Force Master Sgt. Harold "Gene" Greenfield, 61, Oswego County Route 22, died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Greenfield retired from the Air Force in 1976 at the rank of master sergeant after serving for 22 years. He then became a self-employed heating and plumbing contractor.
Born Nov. 6, 1936, in Pulaski, son of Harold N. and Viola Camp Greenfield, he had lived in Orwell for many years.
He married Edith M. Haines in 1954 in Orwell Union Church with the Rev. Wesley Baker officiating. The marriage ended in divorce.
Mr. Greenfield was a former member of the Orwell Fire Co.
Surviving are his mother, Viola Greenfield Shuhart, Pulaski; a daughter, Debra Butler, Magnolia, Del.; a son, Andrew G., Sandy Creek; a brother, Beryle J., Orwell, and a grandson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
