Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 23, 1927 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Texas Resident Dies ¬Katherine Sprague aged 53 years died at her home north of this village Wednesday morning, June 22, 1927, after several months illness. Mrs. Sprague for several years has been an invalid and a patient sufferer. She was the daughter of Almond Dyke and Charlotte Woolson Dyke, born in the town of Scriba, November 27, 1873. She is survived by her husband George G. Sprague, one brother, George A. Dyke of Pulaski, New York; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ora Dennis and Mrs. Harry Edwards, both of Rochester, New York; one niece Mrs. Glenn Carpenter, Pulaski, New York; one aunt Mrs. Elizabeth Dyke of Texas, New York; two cousins Jesse and Sardius Dyke of Texas, New York. She was a member of the Texas M. E. church also Texas Grange No. 128. Last rites will be held from her late home Friday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will be at Daysville. The bearers will be Sylvester Dyke, Gifford Dyke, Glenn Carpenter and Ward Sprague.
