Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 4, 1929 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Texas Resident Dies - George G. Sprague, 57, died Tuesday April 2, 1929, at his home at Texas, New York. Funeral services will be held from his late home on Friday afternoon at two o'clock. A more complete obituary will appear in next week's issue.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 11, 1929 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - George G. Sprague, 59, a car inspector employed by the New York Central railroad in the Oswego yards, died at his home in Texas, Oswego county, Tuesday after an illness of several months. He was a son of the late Alonzo and Nellie Cottrell Sprague, and was born in the town of Richland January 7, 1870. He was a member of the Texas Grange and is survived by two brothers, Charles, of Sandy Pond, and Percy of Syracuse. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from his late home, the Rev. Albert E. Lawrence, of Pulaski, officiating, and interment was made in Daysville cemetery. The bearers were Ward Rose, Ward Ramsey, Jesse Dyke and Edward Henderson.
