      Chase Mills-Ronald J Beckstead, 72, died Dec 17, 2016 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Arrangements with Phillips Memorial Home in Madrid; Burial in Madrid Cemetery. Ron was born on Sep 18, 1944 in Canton son of Garnet and Iva White Beckstead. He graduated from Madrid Waddington School in 1963 and relocated to Oregon to attend small engine repair; the then returned to the North Country to work on parents farm and later owned and operated the Rockin' B Ranch in Madrid for over 30 yrs. He married Linda Geer on Aug 19, 1967 in Sandy Creek, Linda died in 1997. Ron is survive by a daughter, Heather an Husband Jody Montroy of Ogdensburg and Peter and wife Danielle Beckstead of Madrid; 3 grandchildren; two sisters, Joan and Jim Webb and Carol Sharlow.
      He was predeceased by a brother Richard Beckstead.
