- Newspaper Obituary - August 17, 2001 Syracuse Post Standard - Jean M. Stenson, 70, of 5156 Route 11, died Friday at her home. Mrs. Stenson was employed at Oswego Hospital for 19 years, retiring in 1994. Previously, she was employed by Oswego County Mental Health for seven years and did private duty nursing for many years. She was a member of Park Methodist Church. Born May 3, 1931, in the town of Sandy Creek, a daughter of Harold and Helen Wilder Grinnell, she graduated from Pulaski Academy High School in 1949 and Crouse Irving Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She married Warren B. Stenson on December 30, 1951, at the Camden Methodist parsonage with the Rev. Catlton G. Van Ornum officiating. Mr. Stenson, a retired employee of Dairylea Cooperative, Syracuse, died January 29, 1997. Surviving are three sons, Mark A., Coatesville, Pennsylvania, Kirk W., Orwell, and Kris G., Pulaski; a daughter, Kim M. Gibbs, Pulaski; a sister, Shirley Sanderson, Arcadia, California, and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. Catherine Salisbury officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
