Lola M. Geer Cooper - January 24, 1904 - April 19, 1982. Daughter of Lewis M. and Isabelle A. Groff Geer. Wife of John Cooper (married June 29, 1929) & Carl J. Steinfeld (married July 30, 1977).
Newspaper Obituary - Monday, April 26, 1982 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Lola M. Cooper Steinfeld, 78, Fernwood, a retired teacher and wife of Carl J. Steinfeld, died at 6:50 p.m. Monday, April 19 in the emergency room of the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown. The funeral was 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22 at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Austin, pastor of Fernwood United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Carl J.; a brother, Max L. Geer, Pulaski; two nieces; a nephew, and two step-sons, John Steinfeld, Parish and Robert Steinfeld, Sebastian, Florida. Born January 21, 1904 at Daysville a daughter of Lewis and Belle Groff Geer she was graduated from Pulaski Academy High School, Pulaski Teachers Training Class and Oswego Normal School. She married John Cooper July 11, 1929. Mr. Cooper, a farmer, operator of a coal business, former roofing and siding contractor and manager of the Pulaski Bowling Center, died December 10, 1971. She married Carl J. Steinfeld July 30, 1977. Mrs. Steinfeld taught in the White District, Town of Richland and later at Fernwood and Richland. She transferred to Pulaski Academy and Central School and retired in 1969 after a 34-year teaching career. She was a member of the Fernwood United Methodist Church, a 60-year member of the Fernwood Grange 256, a member of Pulaski Chapter 159 Order of the Eastern Star and the Retired Teachers Association.
