- Ward L. Parbus, Jr., age 81, resident of Lacona, passed away Tuesday at his home. Ward was born August 28, 1943, in Mineola, NY, the son of Ward L. and Grace Meyer Parbus, Sr. He graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, NY in 1961. He later served in the United States Navy. Ward was married to his wife of 30-years, Pamela Pacific Parbus on May 4, 1996. He owned and operated WL Properties in Lacona for 25 years, before retiring. He had also been employed by JB Hunt and Chapin Watermatics in Watertown. Ward enjoyed traveling, golfing and boating.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Parbus of Lacona, stepchildren, Morgan Reynolds of Lacona, Anthony (Jennie) Reynolds of Florida, Alexandra Francher of Florida, Lara Colliar of Massachusetts, and Patricia Hermanowski- Tousant of Pulaski, his sister, Grace Picerno of Florida and brother Mark Parbus of North Carolina, five grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Services in care of Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
