Newspaper Obituary - Friday, February 19, 1993 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Elna B. Wansink, Fernwood, Dies At Age 51 - Elna B. Wansink, 51, Syracuse Road, Fernwood, formerly of Pulaski, died Thursday in Oswego Hospital. She had suffered a heart attack. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 7385 Park St., with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Surviving are her husband, Dirk; two sons, Nick, Pulaski, and Brent, Syracuse; two daughters, Becky S. Miller, Mexico, and Ellen M. Lowery, Pulaski; a grandson; her father, Max Geer, Pulaski; a brother, Larry M. Geer, Pulaski, and a sister, Linda Beckstead, Madrid. Born in Syracuse on December 21, 1941, a daughter of Max and Ruby Ward Geer, she was a 1958 graduate of Pulaski Academy High School. She married Dirk Wansink, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wansink, Fernwood, on December 3, 1960, at the Baptist Church. Mrs. Wansink was employed with Agway Petroleum Corp., Fernwood, for a time. Mr. and Mrs. Wansink owned and operated a dairy farm for several years. She was a member of the Fernwood Home Bureau.
