Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, June 3, 1971 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Donald F. Carpenter Dead at 26 ¬Pulaski -Donald F. Carpenter, 36 died Wednesday afternoon at his home, 7546 Price Drive after a long illness. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Foster-Flax Funeral Home, Pulaski, Rev. Edwin A. Potter, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2:30 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Patricia J. Greenfield Carpenter; two daughters, Tina Louise, 7, and Terri Lee, 5; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Carpenter, Pulaski; two brothers, Clayton F., Phoenix, Floyd E., Pulaski; a sister, Mrs. William (Grace) Singleton, Pulaski; a grandmother, Mrs. Lillian Carpenter, Watertown; nieces and nephews. Born January 20, 1935, in Fernwood, a son of Glen and Nira Harmes Carpenter, he was a 1952 graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School. He entered the Navy in November, 1952, and served in Korea and the Far East. He was discharged in January, 1956. He was employed by Pulaski Metal Products Co., and by Bud Air Tool Company, Port Ontario, until he retired in ill health in April 1969. On June 9, 1956, he married Patricia J. Greenfield in Pulaski. He was a member of the Pulaski Veterans of Foreign Wars.
