      Newspaper Obituary - August 11, 1990 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Ruby E. Geer, 79, Route 11 South, died early Friday in the Hillcrest Nursing Home, Oswego. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, with the Rev. Elizabeth Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 7385 Park St. Contributions may be made to Northern Oswego County Ambulance. Surviving are her husband, Max L.; a son, Larry M., Pulaski; two daughters, Elna Wansick, Pulaski, and Linda Beckstead, Madrid; eight grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. I. Ray (Virginia) Geer, Lowville. Four brothers, Edward, Charles, Oswald and Frank Ward, and a sister, Ruth Youngs, died previously. Born March 23, 1911, at Sackets Harbor, daughter of George and Ione Holloway Ward, she attended Oswego district schools. She married Max L. Geer on May 26, 1933. The couple moved to the Pulaski area that same year. Mrs. Geer was a member of the Fernwood Baptist Church and Chapter 159 of the Order of the Eastern Star in Pulaski.
