- Newspaper Obituary - January 12, 2005 Times Union - Albany, New York - KOVACK, MARGUERITE A. - ALBANY -- Marguerite A. Kovack, 92, of Albany, died Saturday, January 8, 2005 at the Julie Blair Nursing Home in Albany. Marge was born in Richland, N.Y. but lived most of her life in Albany. She was employed for many years as a licensed practical nurse by the Albany Medical Center. She also was a selfless volunteer known for her warmth, cheerfulness, willingness and dependability. She volunteered at blood pressure and various other health clinics, at the Salvation Army, Veterans Hospital, Trinity Methodist Church and as a substitute Sunday school teacher. She also belonged to various other community service groups such as the Council of Churches, the Inter-Center Leadership Council of Senior Service Centers and the Home League of the Salvation Army visiting nursing homes and shut-ins. Marge was predeceased by her husbands, Andrew Konick and John Kovack; by her sisters, Mabel Goodwin, Etta Mae Lawson and Catherine Kuterak; and by her brother, Charles Wyman. She is survived by her very special niece, June Busold; her niece, Mary Lou Grainer; her grandnephew, Jeff (Cindy) Grainer; her great-grand niece, Shohna Grainer, all of Little Falls; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Thursday morning at 11:00. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Thursday morning after 10:00. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
