- Newspaper Obituary - February 14, 2004 GOODWIN, MABEL -Time Union - Albany, New York - LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. -- Mabel Wyman Goodwin, 82, formerly of Albany, died Thursday, February 12, 2004 at the Van Allen Nursing Home in Little Falls. Mrs. Goodwin was born in Richland, N.Y. but lived most of her life in the Albany area. Mabel served in the United States Army during World War II. She was employed by the Stratton Veterans Hospital in Albany for many years. Mrs. Goodwin was the wife of the late William B. Goodwin. She is survived by her sister, Marguerite Kovack of Albany; her niece, Mary Lou (John) Grainer; her grandnephew, Jeff (Cindy) Grainer; her great-grandniece, Shohna Grainer, all of Little Falls; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Etta Mae Lawson. Funeral services will be held in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, Monday at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday morning after 10:00. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
