- Derek J. Woodmancy, age 74, resident of Pulaski passed away Thursday at the VA Hospital in Syracuse. Derek was born January 12, 1949, in Syracuse, the son of Franklin and Doris Jock Woodmancy. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1968, and he served in the United States Army from 1968 until 1974. Derek worked as a realtor for over 20 years, for various agencies, including Realty USA, Century 21, Gallenger, and most recently, Berkshire Hathaway. Prior to his career in real estate, he worked at Miller Brewing Co. for 18 years until they closed in 1994. He was a member of the Pulaski VFW. Derek enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen of Pulaski, four daughters, Leah (Gregory) Napierala of Rochester, Shonna (John) Palo of Rochester, Courtney (Roberto) Orofiamma of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Callie (Chris) Bookman of Rochester, grandchildren, William, Leonardo, Brody, Norah, Matteo, Oscar and Charlie, step-grandchildren Ava and Owen, brother, Frank Woodmancy of Pulaski and sisters, Doris (David) Maitland of Mexico and Lori Mitchell of Cedar Park, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 13th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, NY with a burial at the convenience of the family. No funeral service will be held.
