Edmund A. "Tommy" Thompson, 71, of Sandy Creek, passed away Sunday, March 23 at home under the care of family and Oswego County Hospice. Born May 23, 1942 in Syracuse. Son of the late Clyde & Doris Smith Thompson. Educated in Sandy Creek School. Served in the U.S. Army 1961-1963.
He retired from Schoeller Technical Papers Inc. in Pulaski. He then was employed by the Village of Sandy Creek. Member of Sandy Creek Fire Dept., Sandy Creek Lodge #564 F. & A.M. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Thompson, his children, Kim Howard of Chittenango, Sherry (Dan) Coe of Pulaski, and Charles Thompson of Florida, 3 grandchildren, his step children, Gary (Vicki) White, Charles (Kathy) White, George (Theresa) White, Charlotte (Dan) Bergman, Jolene Potter and James (Stacy) White, 28 step grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, a sister Kathy Temple and brother Michael Thompson, predeceased by a brother Peter Thompson.
Funeral Services will be held 2 P.M. Sunday at the Sandy Creek Fire Hall on the South Main St.
Friends may call Saturday 1-4 P.M. at the Fire Hall. Spring burial with Military Honors will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Arrangements by Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek.
