    • Newspaper Obituary - May 1, 2014 Crossville Chronicle - CROSSVILLE - Barbara McCumber - Dec. 17, 1930-April 25, 2014 - Mrs. Barbara Jean McCumber was born in Pulaski, NY, Dec. 17, 1930, to Clifford and Florence Montondo. She passed away in Knoxville April 25, 2014. Mrs. McCumber worked as an executive secretary for 25 years for several companies, including Xerox and General Electric, where she met her husband, Donald McCumber. They were married for almost 48 years and had retired to Fairfield Glade in 1991. During their retirement, Barbara and Don traveled all over Europe, visiting Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Monaco and Switzerland. She is survived by her husband, Donald; nephews, Michael and Stephen Evanchik; niece, Barbara Evanchik; stepson, Donald McCumber; and stepdaughter, Paula Gonzales. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. The Rev. Lanita Monroe and the Rev. Jay Archer will officiate. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC (www.hoodfuneralhome.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
