- Newspaper Obituary - September 8, 1987 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Services for Irene J. Wilder, 64, of 1701 State Fair Blvd., who died Sunday at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 7385 Park St. Contributions may be made to North Oswego County Ambulance, Pulaski.
Newspaper Obituary - September 7, 1987 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - IRENE J. WILDER - Irene J. Wilder, 64, of 1701 State Fair Blvd. and Seeber Shores, Sandy Pond, died Sunday at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Miss Wilder was born in Sandy Creek in 1923. She was a graduate of Pulaski Academy and Central School and Oswego State College, where she received her degree in teaching. She retired four years ago from the Fayetteville-Manlius School District. Miss Wilder was a life master bridge player, a member of the American Contract Bridge League and a member of the Syracuse Contract Bridge Club. She also was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Pulaski. She also worked as a dispatcher for the North Oswego County Ambulance. Surviving are one sister, Nancy Warren of Sumpter, S.C.; two brothers, John and William, both of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, the Rev. Earl M. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sandy Creek. Contributions may be made to the North Oswego County Ambulance, Pulaski.
