Robert L. Alvord, 59, of Airport Road, Amboy, died unexpectedly Saturday [August 21] while vacationing in the Town of Orwell [Oswego Co.].
A native of Syracuse, he had resided in the Town of Camillus 25 years. He was employed as a serviceman for the Sears Roebuck & Co., for 20 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edna Carver Alvord; three daughters, Mrs. Wilfred Nash of North Syracuse, Mrs. Donald G. Gregory of Pulaski and Mrs. Donald A. Frost of Amboy; a brother, Donald Alvord of King Ferry; a sister, Mrs. John Burt of Elmira, and three grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the B.L. Bush and Sons Funeral Home at Camillus. The Rev. Malcomb Howard officiated with burial in Belle Isle Cemetery.
