    • Online Obituary - October 12, 2015 - Richard E. Lighthall, 83, of Rome, passed away on October 9, 2015 at Faxton- St. Lukes Hospital, with his loving family at his side. He was born on June 9, 1932, in Rome, a son of Carl and Grace Wilson Lighthall. For 43 years Richard was employed by Felice Moving & Storage of Rome. Richard lived to hunt and fish and was a proud member of the McKeever Rat’s Hunting Club. He is survived by his two son’s and daughter’s-in-law, Richard and Linda Lighthall Jr., Brian and Melissa Lighthall all of Rome; two daughter’s and son’s-in-law, JoAnne and Larry Becraft, Judy and Joseph Theall, all of Rome; one stepson, Angelo Lorenzoni, Remsen; two brother’s and sister’s-in-law, Donald and Phyllis Lighthall, Stanley and Doris Lighthall, all of Prospect; two sisters, Betty Parker and Beverly Novak, both of Rome; sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by a brother Ronald Lighthall and a stepson Dominick Lorenzoni. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at 6 p.m. Strong- Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 401 North George Street, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours form 3-6 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
