      Wardwell Settlement

      Mrs Florence Hilton of Pulaski and Leon Spicer of Utica were called home Sunday by the serious illness of their father, E.F. Spicer.

      The community was greatly saddened by the sudden death of our esteemed friend and neighbor, Elias F Spicer, which occurred early Tuesday morning. Mr. Spicer suffered a shock last Wednesday and failed to rally from its effects. The funeral will be held from his home on Thursday. A more extended notice later.
