Joyce E. Sargent, 75, Springbrook Apartments, died Wednesday at her home.
Mrs. Sargent had worked at Rose Care Nursing Home in Little Rock, Ark., and was a former member of the Northern Oswego County Ambulance corps.
Born July 14, 1930, in Redfield, daughter of Ira and Blanche Lago Trumble, she attended school in Pulaski. She had resided in Richland, Pulaski and Alexander, Ark., moving back to Pulaski in 2002.
She married Louis Gilbert on Aug. 21, 1947. He died Aug. 9, 1963. She married John Sargent in 1969. He died in 1992.
Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gloria Lawton, Pulaski, Sandra and Gary McNitt, Pulaski, and Carla and Robert Walker, Lyndhurst, Ontario; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Bruce and Linda Gilbert, Pulaski, Barry Gilbert, Sandy Creek, Mark and Priscilla Gilbert, Florida, and Terry and Glenda Gilbert, Alexander, Ark.; two stepsons, David and Kenny Sargent, both of Syracuse; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Genevieve and Richard Ballou, Central Square, Caroline and Edward Warren, Fulton, and Esther Shaw, Pulaski; a brother and his wife, Ira and Dorothy Trumble, Kentucky; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Nine brothers and sisters died before her.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek. Burial will be private.
There will be no calling hours.
