Newspaper Obituary - Friday, June 8, 2007 Salmon River News - Pulaski, New York - John W. Delong, 78, life resident of Mexico, died Thursday, May 31, at his home. He was bom on June 13, 1928 in Mexico, the son of Earl V. and Beatrice Wilcox Delong. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1946. He married June Stacy April 1, 1950, she died March 26, 2000. He and his wife owned and operated a dairy farm for 50 years on county Route 41, Mexico. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Mexico, of the Holstein Freisian World, and Adams Pony Club. Surviving are three daughters, Jonita E. (Dr. Niles) Greenhouse, Nancy E Delong, all of Mexico, Bonnie L. (Robert) Hazard of Carthage; two sons, Roger J. (Janet) of Mexico, David V. (Caroline) of Forest, Virginia; one brother, Lladwen Delong of Mexico, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Lie was predeceased by one brother Charles in 1977. Services were Monday, June 4 at Foster-Hax Funeral Llome, Pulaski with burial in South Richland Cemetery. Contributions may be made to American Lleart or American Lung Associations.
