  Newspaper Obituary - Friday, August 1, 1980 Syracuse Post Standard - Auburn - Neil R. Vreeland, 30, of Woodbrook Homes, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. A native of Auburn, he was the son of Floyd G. and Elizabeth Shortsleeve Vreeland. He lived most of his life in the town of Owasco. He is survived by his brother, George of Scipio Center; six sisters, Mrs. Ralph Parsons of Sennett, Mrs. John Miller and Mrs. Edward Church, both of Owasco, Mrs. Peter Kowal Jr. and Mrs. Clifford Miller, both of Fleming; his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Beardsley of Auburn, and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Monday at Brew Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, Owasco. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 48 South St.
