Mrs Emma Wheeler York, wife of William York, died Sunday afternoon at her home on Church street after an illness of more than a year. She suffered a shock about a year ago, and another last week. Mrs. York was born March 10, 1870, at Middleville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Wheeler and was united in marriage with Mr. York at Bellwood on January 10, 1900, since which time she had resided in Lowville and was a member of the Methodist church. Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Milton York of Ilion and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Slowey of Lowville and Mrs. John T. Molineux of Middleville. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Methodist church. Rev. E. J. Lavis officiating and the remains were placed in the vault at Rural cemetery.
