The funeral for Donald F. Patterson, 63, West Church Street, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville, with the Rev. Charles Henderson, rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery, Belleville.
Mr. Patterson died at 6:55 p.m. Friday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, where he was admitted earlier that day.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Patterson was an independent truck driver for 15 years before going to work for Morgan Williams trucking service, Belleville. He retired in 1995 because of illness.
Born May 24, 1935, in Watertown, a son of Chauncy and Hazel Bradbury Patterson, he attended Pulaski High School.
He married Arlene Rogers on May 4, 1956. The couple lived in the South Jefferson area.
Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Darlene S.) Lynch, Rochester; five sons, Donald F., Sandy Creek, Dennis S., Pulaski, Daniel H., Adams Center, Darryl J., Carthage, and Dean A., Adams; two sisters, Donna Denny, Pulaski, and Dottie Jean Patterson, Elmira, and 13 grandchildren.
A brother, Ernest Patterson, a sister, Ethel Mary Sampson, and a grandson died before him.
