- Newspaper Obituary - July 29, 2010 Gainesville Sun - MYERS, RENEE' - Renee' Myers, 47, longtime Alachua-High Springs resident, passed away Sat. July 24, 2010 at NFRMC, following a two year battle with cancer. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and a graduate of Columbia High School, class of 1981. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Morris Williams. Survivors include: Mother, Mary Williams Obrien, Husband, David Myers, Alachua; One daughter, Tiffany Griffith, Fort White; Three sons; Blake Downs, Tyler Myers and Noah Myers, all of Alachua; Three Brothers; Michael Williams, O'Brien, Anthony Williams, Keystone Heights, and Philip Williams, Tucson, AZ; One sister, Joy Simmons of High Springs. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at First Baptist Church, High Springs, with Rev. Mark Pargo and Rev. Jerry Nash officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in McAlpin. Visitation will be Tues. July 27th, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Evans Carter Funeral Home, High Springs (386) 454-2444. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Cornerstone Baptist Church, PO BOX 457, Ft. White, FL 32038.
