Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, October 30, 1958 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Funeral services for Earl Hardie, aged 76, who died Tuesday in a Utica Hospital where he had been a patient 21/2 years, will be held this afternoon October 30th at 2 p.m. from the Leroy M. Miner Funeral Home, Washington Street, Mexico. Rev. Robert E. Pennock, pastor of the Mexico Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Daysville Cemetery with members of the family as bearers. Mr. Hardie was born in Daysville, January 10, 1882, the son of George and Camius Campbell Hardie. The most of his early life was spent in the Daysville area where he was a farmer. He lived in Mexico village for a period before moving to Herkimer where he had lived the past eight years. On December 23, 1908 he married Miss Flossie Miles, who survives him. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John (Doris) Seeley, Mexico; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Ernest of California and two nieces.
