- Newspaper Obituary - January 11, 1968 Sandy Creek News - Sandy Creek, New York - H. J. Potter, 55 Dies Dec. 29th - Harry J. Potter, died Dec. 29, 1967, at his home on RD. 1, Richland after a long illness. He was employed by the New York Central railroad for 21 years but retired in February 1963 because of illness. He was born July 22, 1912 at Redfield and was a son of Isaac and Eveline Warren Potter. He was married Nov. 5, 1932 in Richland to Miss Mabel Barker, who survives. Other survivors are four sons, Robert F., Lake Worth, Fla.; Frederick L, Lacona; Charles H., 16 and Terry L.,12, both at home; three daughters, Mrs. G. A. (Shirley) Mole, Vera Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Masuicca and Mrs. Richard (Irma) Schroeder, both of Richland; two brothers, Fineon, Richland and John, Rome; two sister, Mrs. Leonard (Golda) Dean, Camden and Mrs. Lucy Wallace, Rome; and 16 grandchildren. The funeral was held Jan. 1 at the Foster funeral home, Pulaski, with Rev. Nelson Reppert, pastor of Park Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Redfield cemetery.
