Newspaper Obituary - Friday, March 29, 1940 Oswego Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Lacona, March 29 ¬John Gallagher, 85, died Thursday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Schultz, at Lacona, after a long illness. He was born near Rochester in 1855, the son of Thomas and Sarah Gallagher. He had been a farmer in the town of Richland for many years before moving to the home of Mrs. Schultz several years ago. He was a member of Pulaski Lodge, 415, F.& A.M. and was a member and past master of Daysville Grange. Surviving are a brother, Robert J. Gallagher, Pulaski; two daughters, Mrs. Schultz, and Mrs. W. G. Brown of Huntington Park, California, and a grandson, E. J. Gallagher, of Oswego. Funeral services will be held at the Schultz home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. R. C. Dunn, rector of the Sandy Creek Episcopal church. Members of Pulaski Masonic lodge will meet at the Sandy Creek Lodge rooms at 1:30 o'clock and will conduct Masonic services at the house. Burial will be in Daysville cemetery.
