- Newspaper Obituary - Friday, December 2, 1938 Oswego Palladium Times - Mrs. James Johnson - Mrs. Phoebe Jana Johnson, widow of the late James Johnson, died Thursday at her home in Scriba after an illness of three weeks. She was born in Parish, 65 years ago, the daughter of George and Jane Trumble. She spent her early life in Parish and after her marriage to Mr. Johnson moved to Scriba. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Clara Revoir of Oswego, and Mrs. Cora Bailey, Mrs. Julia Callen and Mrs. Genevieve King all of Syracuse; four sons, Ray, Charles, Frank and Albert Johnson, all of Scriba; three sisters, Mrs. Hugh Miller of Altmar, Mrs. LeRoy Johnson of Oswego Center, and Mrs. Clark Alger of West Amboy; four brothers, William, Charles, and Grover Trumble, all of Altmar; 19 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home in Scriba, Mr. Maeks, a retired Baptist pastor officiating. Burial will be in West Amboy cemetery.
