- Newspaper Obituary - Friday, March 9, 1962 Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Mrs. Robert Bailey - Oswego - Mrs. Grace Howard Bailey, 78, wife of Robert Bailey of Oswego RD 1, died Thursday in Oswego Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Bailey was born in Ilion and had resided in the New Haven area for the past 20 years. She was a member of North Scriba Baptist Church and of the Daughters of the American Star of Victory Council of North Syracuse. Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Mrs. Leon Shattell of Fulton; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Howard of Mallory; Mrs. Floyd Hoyt of Oswego and Mrs. Walter Marshall, Oswego; two brothers, Frank Priest and George Priest of Parish, also three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Satuday in the John E. Cullinan Funeral Home with the Rev. Theodore Burke, pastor of North Scriba Baptist Church, officiating and burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
