- January 14, 1912 ~ Newton Philbrick, age 67 years, 3 months, 3 days, Married, Carpenter, born in Richland Township, Son of Albert Philbrick born in Vermont, and Eunice Nye born in New York, Died in Pulaski of heart disease, apoplexy.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, January 17, 1912 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Another of the boys who wore blue was called to his eternal rest, last Sunday evening, when Newton A. Philbrick fell asleep without a special warning that he should go soon. Though Mr. Philbrick has been in poor health for some time he was around the house and death overtook him in those conditions. Mr. Philbrick was 67 years of age and resided in Pulaski a great part of his life. Before 21, he enlisted in Co. F., New York Volunteers and served to the close of the war. He was a member of J. B. Butler Post, G. A. R. Mr. Philbrick is survived by his wife, one daughter, two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Price and Mrs. Wheeler, of this village. The funeral will be held from the home today at half past one.
