    • Newspaper Obituary - January 24, 2001 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - CHESTER H. MURPHY MACHINE OPERATOR - Chester H. Murphy, 86, of 220 Bangall Road, formerly of Theresa, died Tuesday in Oswego Hospital. Mr. Murphy was a machine operator for Cambridge Filter, Liverpool. Born Feb. 28, 1914, in Theresa, son of Addison and Beatrice Stevens Murphy, he lived for many years in Parish. He married Anna F. Spencer on Oct. 4, 1935, at the home of A.E. Lawrence, Mexico. She died Sept. 30, 1985. Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Tyo and Venita Ackley, Parish, and Sharon Connolly, Carthage; a sister, Ava Race, Colosse; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Harter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
