- Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, December 20, 1893 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Albion - Again death came to the home of Henry Jones, Jr., and December 10th, Stephen Jones died of congestion of the liver, aged _ years. His death was a shock to his many friends as he had been sick but a short time. He went from his home on Monday before his death to see his father who is very sick only a short distance away, but was taken very sick and unable to go back. He remained there through his sickness. Mr. Jones was an exemplary Christian and a man that the church will miss very much. For many years he was superintendent of the Sunday school and at the time of his death was teacher of the Bible class. He was a great worker in the temperance cause and will be greatly missed by the Band of Hope. He was an active member of the Grange and the grange with the other friends followed him to his last resting place. He leaves a wife and one son, B. C. Jones, of Watertown, a sister, Mrs. Albert Barker, of Orwell, and one brother, Henry Jones, with a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. His funeral was largely attended, December 12th, at the church at p.m., Rev. R. A. Burlick officiating.
