Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 27, 1886 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Killed at Richland - On Sunday last, Floyd E. Jones, who entered into employ of the R. W. & O. railroad the first of the present month as a brakeman, was killed at Richland. He was engaged at coupling cars when hurt. The box cars came together and so pressed upon him as to rupture his bladder. Dr. Low was summoned and did all he could for the sufferer but the injuries were too severe and he died twenty-four hours after the accident at the residence of Mrs. Campbell, his grandmother. The deceased was a worthy young man, a son of J. Kendrick Jones of this town, and nearly 27 years of age. He was unmarried. The funeral will be held at Richland to-day, Wednesday, at one o’clock and the interment will take place at Richland Cemetery. The sincere sympathy of all is with the relatives and friends of the deceased, who has been thus suddenly stricken down in the springtime of his life.
