      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, January 26, 1888 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In this town, January 21, 1888, Betsey, relict of the late John Jones, aged 90 years and 2 months. The maiden name of the deceased, who was born in Hamilton, Madison County, New York, was Betsey Way. She was the oldest of a family of ten children. When a young lady she came to this section of the country and engaged in school teaching. Here she met Mr. Jones and in 1825 they were married. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Jones, five of whom survive the mother. Mrs. Jones was one of the constituent members of the Pulaski Baptist Church, organized nearly sixty years since. The deceased had been an invalid for many years, but her children have tenderly cared for her declining years. The funeral was held on Tuesday, Rev. D. D. Owen officiating.
